Artifex designs and manufactures superb, custom woodwork for every kind of project. We've built for high-end homes, mid-priced homes, and businesses in Aspen, Snowmass, Vail, Beaver Creek, Eagle, Gateway, and even Florida. Our work spans everything from massive dining room tables made of Bubinga (an exotic hardwood) to precisely carved handrail fittings.
A family owned business, Artifex is small enough to be infinitely flexible in the products and services offered. From concept to final product, we can provide everything necessary for the woodwork package, including design consultation, clean and professional AutoCAD(r) drawings, and realistic 3D renderings.
Though small, Artifex has the experience and the tools to meet even the most demanding project deadlines. Our founder has operated woodworking businesses for over two decades in multiple markets. And our tools include a precise, German-made moulder, a large 5-axis computerized router capable of carving, cutting and drilling in 3 dimensions, a knife-grinder for keeping our product sharp and consistent, and more.
Michael Bourget manages design and production at Artifex. He's a creative force and problem solver, with skills ranging from master carpenter to draftsman to CNC programmer.
Jason Bourget handles finances, marketing, and technology. He has a baccalaureate in public accounting, but uses it sparingly.
Aimee Bourget is our extraordinarily capable bookkeeper and secretary. She enjoys balancing debits and credits, reconciling bank accounts, and playing Solitaire.
Charles Black, Ismael Gutierrez, and Jake Andersen
